Tin sheet model of TATRA 815. The truck participated in the 1997 Paris-Dakar Rallye, from Dakar to Agadez and back. Crew members of the truck number 403 were: Karel Loprais, Radomír Stachura and Vlastimil Kucera. Unfortunately, they did not finish this promising race with a length of 8,049 kilometers due to technical problems with the vehicle. They had to withdraw after the tenth stage. The legendary Tatra truck, with which the crew of Karel Loprais won the Rallye Dakar in 1995. The metal model with the 1:43 scale will please not only the collectors, but all fans of Czech brands and toys. As a child, someone read fairy tales or comics, others had a Dakar book on their bedside table. The word – Dakar smells of an adventure, distance and hard work under the blazing sun with sand and incredible stories. You can get this “smell” through the Tatra 815 even at your home.

Sheet metal model of TATRA T 815. It raced in 1996 at the famous Dakar Rally. The route led from Granada to Dakar, and it was the tenth jubilee start in this competition for the TATRA brand. The crew of truck number 400 consisted of three people: Loprais, Stachura and Tomeček. The seasoned crew performed excellently and caught up with the faster Kamaz vehicles on the technical passages. Unfortunately, this year there was confusion among the organizers who changed the route during the competition. This intervention worked againts the car of Karel Loprais and the Czechs had to settle for second place.

This tin TATRA T 815 expands our range of popular Dakar TATRAs. In 1998 the race started in Paris again, after 4 year's break. The organizers did not spare the starting competitors and selected the most difficult stages from previous years and added some other, also very demanding ones. The Czech TATRA MARATHON TEAM started with three trucks. One of them is this one, which boasts starting number 419, crew: Sklenovský, Hamerla, Tomeček. This trio carried all the technical equipment and basically drove as an assistance vehicle. Even so, the competitors did great and held an excellent 6th place. Unfortunately, only until the unlucky 9th stage, when the crew was ambushed by armed robbers who stole the Tatra and escaped with it. The crew thus had to say goodbye to the rest of the race unintentionally and through no fault of their own.
